Ready to Play

Most weekends we like to spend around the house, cleaning (me) and mowing the yard (if it needs it) and grilling out something.  When college football starts in 14 short days, we will be parked in front of the television watching all the SEC games, especially the VOLS.

This weekend we seem to be in the mood to head somewhere and play, shop. :-)

I found a new(to me) place in Knoxville that I want to visit and I am hoping to head there tomorrow.

Then again, I am content to stay at home, depends on my mood tomorrow. *grin*

It feels like most everyone around here is in the mood for Fall.  High school football started last night and   continues tonight.  The temperatures don't feel Fallish but ready or not  it's football time in Tennessee.

On a completely different subject:

I just finished my summer Bible study today.  I probably sat at the table for a couple of hours but I finished and I am so thankful for what God taught me through it.

At times, I have been struggling with feeling obligated to have a prayer time/quiet time and reading and studying my Bible to the point of where I dreaded to make the time.  That is not normally how I feel but when it happened, I prayed and prayed about it and laid it before God.  He was merciful and gracious and led me to our LifeWay bookstore to purchase this study by a new author, Tammie Head.

If you struggle like I do at times, I highly recommend this study.  It is the time of year for the churches to start their new Fall Bible studies and if your church is offering this, take it!!  I can't even describe how this study has impacted me.  If you would rather do this at home, that works too!

Whatever your plans for this weekend, I hope you have fun and enjoy!
