standing in line with my best friends and having fun with those standing in front or behind us.
It was usually cold, very cold but that did not diminish our fun.

A lot of people thought we were crazy but planning our strategy and going through the ads was a lot of fun. ;)
So, it's time for my first holiday giveaway. Black Friday will be here soon, and I am going to give
away a 30.00 gift card to one of my favorite places to shop: Target.

Here is what you have to do to enter.
Please tell me if you go out on Black Friday, OR if you stay home snuggled in your warm bed and make
fun of those of us who do(lol). You can even share a favorite Christmas memory.
It's getting close to Thanksgiving and I already bought my turkey and, I am so ready to put my tree up. :)
Just a little Christmas FYI... This weekend is Hallmark's Open House and on the Hallmark channel they are showing new Christmas movies.
OH, the giveaway will end on 11/14/11 and the winner announced on 11/16/11.

These girls we met in line. They went out on Black Friday in matching robes.

Stay home snuggled in my bed....no really out decorating trees.
ReplyDeleteTeresa, I have thought of you so often over the last few weeks. I know this is a busy time of the year for you. I think you should do a video on your blog and show us how to decorate a tree. :)))
ReplyDeleteI go OUT! And this year Target and Kohls are opening at midnight! Not even going to bed this year... can't wait! My funny story is that I waited in line outside Target while snowing for the PINK dyson! It was worth the cold and the wait I love it:) Can't wait for this year!!

Ooohhh, could I get lucky enough to win 2 of your giveaways?! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't usually go out on Black Friday. I just hate the lines and with a baby, it just doesn't work out! If I ever realized how much I could save, I probably would go!
SO glad you mentioned that Hallmark is playing Christmas movies this weekend...definitely going to check it out!
I stay home and snuggled in my bed and then I shop online when I finally do get up OR I shop at midnight and then crawl into my bed... hahaha!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this. Love Target. My birthday is Nov 17th too ;) Thanks for the giveaway!

I usually find something else to do on that Friday, like stay at home and read. On the other hand if there is something that has caught my husband's eye, he is out the door at the crack of dawn. He doesn't mind the crowds like I do.
ReplyDeleteHome in my bed! I cannot imagine anything I want bad enough to brave the crowds!!
ReplyDeleteI do not fight the crowds on Black Friday but enjoy decorating my house for Christmas instead. May this Christmas and Holiday Season be the best ever for you and your family!!

Let's see ... in the past I have done both ... went out on Black Friday and stayed home on Friday.
ReplyDeleteUsually on Thanksgiving night my family and I search the sales papers to look for bargins. If we find the good ones we might venture out to take a peek and hopefully buy.
I guess the best thing about Black Friday is looking through the sales papers with my family on Thanksgiving night. It has become a tradition at our house.
I also wanted to tell you that you are not crazy putting up your decorations this early. I am hearing that many are doing this now.
I will probably do my mantle on Thanksgiving night. Then decorate the rest of the house a little each day until it looks like Christmas.
Thanks for the give a way ... God bless you.

I go to the midnight madness sale at wal mart We always get there early . My husband donest attend with me anyomre as I will tell you why
ReplyDeletesome years back when Ferbies were the hot item my brother had us to try and get him some so we do get in line at wal mart they open the doors to let us in and my husband gets pushed into one of those little cars that kids ride in..now my husband is a big man and he has a problem with his knees and he had to stay there untilt he crowd all got through ...he found me and said he was going to the car as he said he had all of the black friday he could stand ...or lay in a car ...lol.... so I go without him now
All the girls in my family go. We look at it as a slumber party for grown ups and kids. The little ones can't wait until they are old enough to go. This year we will not leave one female behind.. After shopping we go to cracker barrel for breakfast. And hopefully it is cold enough for a fire in their fireplace...

Patty - I love how you change up your blog and how enthusiastic you are about the holidays (and fall).
ReplyDeleteMy mom and I go shopping and it has been our tradition for 25 years - since my sister passed away in 1985. We don't stay as long as we used to since my mom gets tired more quickly, but we have a good time getting up at the crack of daylight and seeing all the decorations and all that.
Thanks for all you do!
Love, Jan
PS: My birthday is Nov 16 :)
My husband usually goes to the Black Friday sales if we go at all! I just can't stand the craziness of it all.
ReplyDeleteActually I do alot of online shopping because of that reason.
Target is my absolute favorite store!!!! That gift card would really be a blessing this year!!
