Simple Pleasures

If you happen to be new here, I started writing about the Simple Pleasures of life a few years ago. I believe God was trying to teach me to be more intentional with all the small blessings in life as I am with the bigger blessings in my life.

I read a quote by Laura Ingalls Wilder that sparked my Simple Pleasure posts. She said,  " Today our way of living and our schools are much different; so many things
have made living and learning easier. But the real things haven't changed , it
is still best to be honest and truthful, to make the most of what we have; to be
happy with the simple pleasures and to be cheerful
and have courage when things go wrong. "

Today my Simple Pleasure is sitting on our front porch with the family. Some times it may be just two of us and then some days it might be all of us but regardless of who is on the front porch great conversations take place on our front porch. :)

Even Daisy dog likes to sit out there with us. In fact, it's her favorite thing to do besides taking a nap. She even whines to go out there in the mornings.  This week it has been too hot to sit out there with her and she isn't happy. We get full sun all morning long.

Evenings are much better and cooler.  Our porch is covered so when we have a rain shower we like to sit out there and listen to the rain.

I have enjoyed watching many sunrises over the last few years on our front porch while drinking my coffee with my vanilla caramel creamer. :-)

Whether we are all out there talking, or I take a book out there to read, it's a simple pleasure that I am truly thankful for and enjoy.

Here we are again, ready for another weekend. Enjoy!

Added pictures of Daisy when she was little just because I think she was the cutest puppy. :)
